So a wonderful friend of mine who has also been losing weight and is farther ahead in the process than I am has blessed me, several times, with adorable clothes that she has gotten too skinny for but they fit me perfectly. YAY! So I guess you could say her loss is my gain and hopefully when I get to the point where I've lost so much that my fat clothes literally won't stay up anymore (and believe me, I'm close to that point) I will be able to pass them on to someone else who is also losing. I couldn't wait to try the clothes on and there were several shirts but the one shown here was my favorite with the jeens, which I adore!
As soon as I put these on I was in love with how they fit and how they looked on me, so I had to take a picture. Of course it's already way too hot outside for this outfit but I will be wearing the jeans with other tops and I will save the top for the fall and hope it shrinks as I do. :)
As for my own clothes, I ended up throwing away my biggest pair of fat pants because they were on their last leg anyway. They were gray cargo capri's from Kohl's and they are the pants that literally slid off of me when I stood up from my desk a month or so ago (click here to read the post about it). On top of that, however, I have a pair of denim, a pair of black, and a pair of brown capri's that are getting too loose to wear comfortably. I can still pass them off around the house or to run errands but they're so big on me that they don't feel flattering. That's kind of bittersweet actually. I also have two or three different shirts in my drawer that I won't even pull out and wear anymore because they used to feel slimming and now they just feel frumpy.

ReplyDeleteoooooh you silver tongued devil you! :)
ReplyDeleteI have to agree with 'downsizers'. I don't go to your blog each day, I get it as an RSS-feed to my email. So the photo came-up centered with simple-text below (no fancy formatting to distract the eye) and it was such a visual-impact that I was shocked!
ReplyDeleteGood job, you really *ARE* making excellent progress!

Thanks bubbers! :)
ReplyDeleteThose jeans are cute! I'm sure you'll get some use out of them, even with warmer weather. A summer top and sandals will make them perfect for summer evenings. :)
