Well Snackers made waffles and eggs for breakfast yesterday, I had sugar free syrup on my waffle and counted all the calories. I had a single Nathan's hot dog with mustard and sauerkraut for lunch and I made a pot roast from one of our diet cook books for dinner. Total intake was 1,289. We hit five more furniture stores and managed to get the bedroom set for $500 less than the average retail price by buying a showroom model that is missing its hardware and has just a few scratches. All of the drawers work great and we didn't like the hardware anyway so I can touch up the scratches with some paint, since they're black and we picked out some knobs online for $0.68 cents each bringing the total price down from $998 to about $540.
After dinner we went to the dog park and, to our surprise, there was a fireworks display being shot off less than 100 yards from our favorite park. It turns out Vladdy is not afraid of fireworks, at all, and the display was easily the best I have ever seen! I actually thought they were doing the grand finale just as we arrived but the show went on for another 45 minutes after we got there and the real grand finale was unlike anything I have ever seen before. Vegas has dozens of different fireworks shows, it seems like each major casino does their own show plus some of the schools and the little suburb towns so from where we were at in the valley we could see 20 or so shows, all staggered at different times over the space of about 2 hours. It was pretty incredible.
We've decided to teach Vladdy to be a guard dog and found a guide online that was written by a former K9 police officer for training. He has a natural instinct to chase us when we run and he nips at our legs and butt as he chases so we did sprints all over the park with him teaching him to chase and nip but to stop immediately either when we stop and put our hands up, or when we would say "leave it". He's amazingly good at it! It's obvious it's part of the nature of his breed. He got a pretty decent munch on my right hiney cheek though ... it's a little tender today. lol
I had woken up and eaten breakfast before I had remembered yesterday was Monday so I am weighing in today and the number is ... 229.0, no change from last week. Boooo.
