Sleepless Nights

So last night did not go well.  I was able to forget about the stress of putting an offer on a home for a few hours while we were shopping, particularly at PetCo because I allowed myself to become distracted by weighing the benefits of buying a better quality dog food over the price tags that are on them.  But once I got home and climbed in bed the mind games that I've been playing with myself started right back up again.  Eventually I started to silently imagine the best game plan for moving all of our stuff like what I should box first, the most efficient order to deep clean the new house before moving stuff in, moving stuff in the right order to minimize U-Haul rental time, and the most efficient order to deep clean this apartment in so that I can hopefully get my deposit back.

Needless to say I didn't get much sleep.

Food:
5 glasses of water
1 cup of coffee w/creamer
1 Fiber One bar
2 turkey links
>>no bun w/mustard, saurkraut
1 turkey & ham sandwich
1 order baked fries
--------------------------------------
Daily Caloric Intake: 1,267

Snackers offered me an ice cream cone tonight and I said "No thank you"!!!!!!!!!!

Activity:
4 flights of stairs
Training: 30 minutes working on "Sit", "Down", and "Roll Over"
Training: Working on calm-submissive (aka don't chase the cats, don't pester Piper, don't chew on the couch, don't bite feet, yadda yadda yadda) which led to an hour long wrestling match between Vladdy and I to determine which one of us is the pack leader and which one is the subordinate puppy.  I won but I am EXHAUSTED and COVERED in welts and scratch marks from his claws.  He is extremely headstrong and stubborn!  The result was a very interesting reaction from Piper which I'll tell you all about tomorrow.

  1. "They" say buying a house is one of the most stressful things one can do. I believe it! Best wishes!

  2. There's a moving kit at a website called Buttoned Up. I bought it for a friend and it came sealed in plastic so I haven't seen it. But I have lots of their other products and I like them (I do not work for them!). Good luck with your move. Isn't moving as stressful as experiencing a death in one's family (according to that old stress scale)? I have been enjoying your blog for a couple of weeks. Keep up the good work!
